Navy Blue Summer Dresses

Currently, I'm planning outfits for our yearly family pictures.  My husband is most comfortable in Blues, Grays and Greens, so that's the pallet that I try to stick with. But I've got to mix in some other secondary colors for myself and the boys.  This isn't 1997 where we're all going to wear the same shirt and jeans!  These are some blue dresses that I'm considering.

I really love this dress, and I think it might be the one.  It's pretty similar to the one I wore last year for our pictures, but different enough I think I could pull it off. It seems to run small, so I sized up. And its on sale!

Chelsea28 Navy Lace Dress

This one was a close contender, but I went with a halter last year so I wanted to switch it up just a bit.




Eliza J Navy Halter Dress

This floral one is so pretty. And all the colors would give me a great pallet to pull from for my husband and our boys' outfits.  But again, the halter. Maybe next year? I did purchase it to wear to a garden wedding, so it currently lives in my closet.

Gingham is everywhere right now, so this one definitely made the short list.  The reason I decided against it is that my husband usually wears a plaid dress shirt and jeans (its what he's most comfortable in), so I didn't want to be too matched.

And this is what I wore last year.  I absolutely LOVE this dress. And you better believe I considered wearing it again - for about 2 seconds.  But that's just too soon, since this is literally for family documentation! Maybe in a year or two I'll pull this one back out.
